Lynette Dover

LCMHC

Lynette is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). She is a native of Rutherford County with degrees from UNC-Charlotte (Bachelor of Arts in English, Minor in Mass Communications), and Gardner-Webb University (Master of Arts in School Counseling). Lynette began her career as an educator for 27 years serving as a teacher in secondary English and Family and Consumer Sciences and as a school counselor for middle and high school students. Lynette attained her LCMHCA and has experience as an Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional and as an outpatient therapist.

Lynette works with clients to develop personalized treatment plans to meet their individual needs and goals through a variety of counseling modalities, including, but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Lynette works with all populations and ages providing individual, small group, and family sessions. Lynette’s focus is addressing grief, depression, anxiety, stress management, career planning, and social skills training.
